the capital shift project

We exist to help activist groups better understand, use and campaign to reform the finance system. We develop tools, infrastructure and campaigns for social movements.

what we do

We are activists who have worked in or close to the finance sector. We believe that a lack of understanding of finance among social movements is a key barrier to more effective campaigns. We exist to create tools and provide support to other activist groups to better understand, use and challenge the sector.See our 'projects' tab for an overview of our current projects, and get in touch if you would like to discuss a query.

This workshop provides an easy introduction to the finance sector and pension/university investments for those interested in understanding how it works in practice.

Leveraging the finance system for campaigns
A walk-through of the ways that you can use the finance sector for your campaigns: how to get started with the tools you've probably thought of, and exploring a few you probably haven't.
